Green!

With Poppy gone it was back to our normal lives this week, not so much fun. And that meant back to my Yoga videos. I think they are helping with my achy back but if not, they at least make me feel better about myself. The best part, though, is when the kids are around and they try to do the Yoga positions too. They really give it a valiant effort :) I asked them to do the downward dog and this is what I got:

Lucy was doing it...but she had to look up and say "Chee!" when I took the picture.

Wednesday we had a tragedy of epic proportions. I was planning on keeping this tragedy a secret for fear of what Poppy would think of me but I just can't keep it in any longer. Here it goes, on Wednesday I was responsible for the death of a turtle. From afar, it looked like a rock but as my car neared it I realized too late that it was not a rock. That poor turtle didn't stand a chance.

I'm hoping the fact that I was on my way to do service for a friend will counteract the bad mojo of killing a turtle...one can hope.

Friday we took our weekly trip to Kensington and my goodness is it green! Compare this picture we took there in April:

To these pictures I just took Friday:

2 months later and now we are surrounded by green and the temp's have stayed in the high 60's and 70's this week. I am a happy lady!

Well, I would be even more happy if Benny wasn't so determined to make me stark raving mad. Not only has Benny been extra emotional lately (if that's possible) but he's also been having constipation problems due to a fear of pooping. This has led to tiny accidents and lots of bathroom drama. Right now panty liners are saving the day in the underwear department, I can't wait to use this against when he grows older! And we are giving Miralax a try. I just hope this gets resolved before I have another little one to worry about. Between him and Lucy these days, I feel like my life revolves around other people's poop.

Lucy also continues to have a crazy temper and throw fits when she doesn't get what she wants or when someone has what she wants. But she does some super cute things too, like say "shoes" when she wants to go outside. Or if you say "one" she'll finish off the count with "two, three." And sometimes she wakes up in the morning and serenades us with the "Space Odyssey Theme Song." Yeah, it's pretty cute :)

So yes, motherhood has been challenging as of late but sometimes I just have to try and embrace the rare good moments...

And let's end with my big 29 week belly:

May Is Here

The other week we did a FHE on Emergency Preparedness and showed the kids what to do if their was a fire or a tornado. Tyler would turn on the appropriate alarms/sirens on his computer and the kids would do their thing. They had lots of fun with this and, of course, this got Steven obsessed with tornadoes (again). Using his awesome imagination, Steven came to us with these gems of wisdom:

"If you go high enough on a swing, a tornado can't get you."

"Tornadoes can't break metal."

I'm not sure we did a good enough job with our safety training for that kid...

This week I got another ultrasound. Everything is still well with Penny, and oh my goodness, she is still quite the performer. Here she is being camera shy (or, as my mom believes, shielding herself from the ultrasound waves):

While we were working on learning our ABC's this week, Benny decided to take a dry erase marker and color himself some "angry eyebrows" and a "beard":

Steven got home and was jealous of Ben's marked up face and decided to make himself into a tiger. He also drew faces on his hands and belly button:

But thanks to me, Lucy remained unmarked:

Have I told you desert rats we are? We get super excited every time we see a squirrel in our yard-- which we shouldn't, because they are literally EVERYWHERE here! One time I was working with Ben at the kitchen table and he literally stopped mid sentence and screamed "Squirrel!" as he pointed to one in the tree out the window. It's just what we do here at the Hatch house:

And let's end this post with my humiliation. It all has to do with a long straight road that leads to Steven's school and a mother's lead foot. I was literally deep in conversation with Steven on the exciting topic of Vampire Bats, when I saw the police office, saw my speed and groaned- I knew I was doomed. Sure enough, he pulled me over, literally right behind where all parents must enter to drop off their kids. That's right, they all had to go around me and give me the look of shame. And the icing on top? I had left my wallet at home. Somehow I got lucky, and the officer decided to let me off with a warning, "At least if you're going to speed, make sure you have your wallet." Then I got to go drop Steven off and listen to all his friends shout at him, "Steven!!! Your mom got in trouble!!!" Ugh. But the funny moment in the midst of it all, Steven says to me, "Daddy should get a ticket, not you! He's always speeding!!" See, I really am the better driver! At least according to Steven ;)

Lucky

Last weekend we spent Sat afternoon at a small swap meet sort of place where I got an awesome "teething" necklace. Really Lucy has no desire to chew on it but that's fine. Truthfully, I just got it because I thought it was stinkin' cute! So here's a picture of me sporting the necklace and sporting my 18 week pregnant belly. Less than 2 weeks until the gender revealing ultrasound folks!

Monday was St. Patrick's Day. I am not one of those amazing Pinterest moms who does a million awesome things for each holiday but I always try to do one or two (easy)fun things. So for breakfast my kids had some Lucky Charms with green milk. I will admit that the dyed green milk just looked awful but Steven claimed excitedly, "It tastes just like milk!" (Ben, of course, had his breakfast by the heater vent in the kitchen):

I also gave Steven a green lunch- dyed mac n cheese, and broccoli. Oh yeah, super delicious!

This last month I have been (finally) working hard on teaching Benny his ABC's. It is so nice that I am at last at a point in my life where I can do this. BUT he is VERY difficult to teach and it can be quite frustrating. He doesn't catch on quickly and sometimes I feel like I am a terrible teacher BUT then we have moments where it clicks. And since preschool is not in the budget and the mom's in my ward failed at their recent attempt to do a co-op, it looks like I am his only hope ;)

On the other hand, Steven is doing splendidly in Kindergarten. We had a conference with Mrs. Hornyak Thurs and were told he is right on target, if not a little ahead. Yippee! Lately, his favorite thing to do is staple pages together to make books. They have a title, lots of pictures and the last page always states "the end". He's made an AFV (America's Funnies Videos) book and a Calvin & Hobbes book these past 2 days. They're quite entertaining to "read."

And yesterday I had a tender mercy occur. We were blessed to have a babysitter come watch our kids while we went to the Detroit Temple (for free nonetheless, thanks to a personal progress goal!). So I went to pick up some pizza for the kids and the babysitter but when I came home I realized my wallet was gone. I remembered putting it on top of the pizzas after I bought them and that was it. I was panicking!

I threw my now poor, jacketless kids in the car and rushed back to the scene. I was praying out loud in the car as we drove there and in retrospect Steven's reactions to my prayers were pretty great, "Can He really hear you?" "Will He find it for you?" "Can He take it away from the bad guys?"...

When we got there I checked the parking lot to no avail. So then I checked the pizza place but still no luck. But from the beginning I had the feeling I should check Kroger's which was pretty close to the pizza place. So I did, and there it was, money, cards and all. Definitely a blessing! And we made it home just in time for the arrival of Tyler & the babysitter.

Then I got to go do my very first Endowment Session in a temple besides the Mesa Temple. It's true, I have never been inside another temple before (not counting temple open houses that is). It is beautiful but significantly smaller and you actually have to RSVP. They had a list and if you weren't on it, it was more than likely you weren't getting in. Anyways, it was nice to finally be in the temple again! Can't wait to go back!

And here are some cute pictures Steven took today:

Doctor's Visits

This week Lucy and I both got to visit the doctor. Lucy's doctor visit did not go so well. Her new doctor was positively awful and we will not be returning to see him. I have seen a variety of doctor's at our pediatric office in Arizona and while I didn't always love them, I never felt so strongly opposed to one before. From the get go, he was just no good. He started off by yelling at her in a very mean tone to look a certain direction or to stop moving. I am sorry but she is 15 months, and she can remember now that the doctor's office equal painful shots so she doesn't like them. And a big, scary, unknown man yelling at her is not going to get her to cooperate. Maybe you could try being nice??

Later, when Ben was getting upset with Lucy because she was trying to take a book from him, the doctor decided to butt in and lectured Benny that Lucy was just a baby and we needed her to be quiet and happy so Benny needed to let her have the book. And yet, moments later he was giving me some unsolicited advice about how to raise my baby so she wasn't a brat and giving me examples of how smart babies are and how easily "trained" they can be. *Vomit*

Anyways, enough venting, here are some fun facts about Lucy at 15 months. She is 32 inches tall which puts her in the 95th percentile. She weighs 23.9 pounds which puts her in the 75th percentile. She loves to toddle after her brothers, kick at snow piles, climb on pretty much anything (I constantly hear "mom she's on the table again!") and she can occasionally be seen dancing to songs. She can say "Cheee" (cheese) "This" "Mama" "Da" "Uh-oh" "Tickle, tickle" "Hi" and "Bye". She can also roar (she does so when she she sees pretty much any animal), she imitates my phone's notification tone and she knows what the fox says ;). She also does a great foot stomping dance when she doesn't get what she wants or is told no. If it wasn't so bratty it would be pretty adorable...

And here's pictures of my baby to be....

Can you make out the alien shaped head on the left and the little arms and hands nearby it? It was so much fun to see this little baby squirming around my tummy and to find out that my baby is healthy. The doctor was nice and very personable. He also likes to talk, a lot. The talking part would've been fine if I didn't have Lucy & Ben who were both in need of a nap (I so miss having people who could watch them for me when I went to these appointments!). But out of his socialness, I did get some restaurant recommendations and some pediatrician recommendations so that was nice :).  I definitely feel good about this office and look forward to meeting all the obgyn's that work there.

And to end this post shall we discuss Michigan weather? I keep hoping it will get warmer... and by warmer I mean like a high of 30's, but no such luck. It continues to be super duper cold and the we continue to get snow. And of course, we had to install stupid Progressive's Snapshot in my van the day before we got lots of snow (it tracks your driving habits to determine if you can get a discount on your insurance). That stinking thing is always beeping at me, and unjustifiably. I know I'm not a great driver but when I'm stuck in the thick snow that the plows have left at the bottom of my driveway I gotta get out somehow and yes that means gunning it. Oh well...Hopefully the forecast doesn't lie and there's really no snow in store until next weekend (especially since Tyler will be out of town all week and I don't know how to use a snow blower)! Fingers crossed!

40 Weeks

Tomorrow is my due date & I am still anxiously and very impatiently waiting for baby Lucy to make her arrival. I ended up scheduling a c-section for November 1st. I know not everyone approves or understands but it has actually brought me some peace. I feel like things are in God's hands. I am hoping that Lucy will come before November 1st and that I will be able to get a vbac but if she doesn't I at least will be more mentally prepared for the c-section.

This week started out very roughly. I had a ultrasound Mon. morning (Lucy is still a girl, still head down & they guess her weight to be about 7 pounds), I watched Tara's boys Tues. morning & then I had my dr's appointment Wed. morning (still 3cm & 70%effaced) plus I was tutoring each of those afternoons. It left me feeling stressed and exhausted and very temperamental. I felt like devil mommy and I am so glad Lucy didn't arrive then.

However, this week is ending very nicely. Thursday I was going to be crazy and sub but I decided not to and am SO glad I didn't sub. I took the boys to the Riparian Preserve and we had such a great time. The weather was perfect and my boys were so happy, I didn't feel like devil mommy any more. Then today, we went to Freestone Park and once again had a great morning together. I know we're gonna be broke but it was so worth it. Now I am "officially" done working (tutoring and subbing), the house is clean, the dishes and laundry are in done so I am just playing the waiting game. Hoping she comes soon because I don't want to spend too much time not making money without enjoying my baby Lucy.

And of course I didn't take any pictures on my outings but here are two random pictures of my cute boys:

The Zoo & My Belly

Yesterday Karen was nice enough to use her Phoenix Zoo membership to get me and the boys in for free! The Sanders & Ellsworth family also came along. It has been quite some time since we had been to the zoo so it was nice to get the opportunity to visit it and see all the changes that have happened. The orangutan's have a new habitat, there is now a jaguar, the Komodo Dragon's arm is in a splint and the zoo is reconstructing there whole entrance. Lots of fun things!

Sadly our visit to the zoo DID NOT start out well. Ben decided to try and get out of the wagon while it was moving and gave himself a good owie and it took him a good hour to recover (and I wish I could say I was exaggerating but I'm not) . First he was upset that I put a band-aide on it. Then he was upset that I took it off and he could see the blood. And then he was just plain upset to be upset. The picture below portrays my sad child perfectly:

I went and got him so the other moms could have a nice picture of their children, no fussy babies allowed. I love that Steven & Colin match- such good friends!

After Ben finally stopped with the fussiness the zoo trip was much better for me. It was so nice to hang out with some ladies in my ward and even nicer when I was able to see both my boys having fun with all their friends. However, Ben did not want to participate in the lizard picture below and I was not going to encourage the evil child to return so here are two cute lizard picture sans Ben:

Hopefully my child didn't ruin the experience for everyone else and despite his crankiness I am still glad we got to go. It was nice to have one last big outing with just my boys. I'm sure the next time we go there will be an additional child joining us.

Here's a picture of that additional child (aka Lucy) hiding out in my big belly. Of course, Steven had to get in the picture too.

I can't believe that in less than 2 weeks I will be at my due date. I'm super nervous for how my labor & delivery experience will turn out. I made the mistake of reading some anti-vbac things and am beginning to get worried. There's that .1% risk of uterine rupture which can cause fetal death. I know it's only .1% but you can't help but worry that you'll be that .1%. I also worry on the other side that baby Lucy will go overdue and I will just end up with a c-section anyways (because the risks of a vbac go up with induction & I don't think I'm game for that). I don't want another c-section but I don't want the risks of a vbac. Ugh! If only I could know how everything is going to pan out and know that it will all be ok. Hopefully I can rid myself of doubt and have faith in my prayers and know that it will all be ok. I honestly can't wait to be done with that stressful part and just have my sweet, baby girl to hold (and to dress ;) ). I am so excited to meet her!

Sunday DInner

This Sunday Steven's wish came true- he was able to hold Oliver! Steven was super excited but poor Oliver didn't enjoy it very much. Also documented in these pictures is my big belly. Only 6 more weeks and then Steven will be able to hold his baby sister! Still hoping this girl gets head down because I am tired of feeling like she's going to kick her way out of there. And while on the baby subject- my heartburn and acid reflux are back. Oh Lucy!

Later, after holding Oliver & eating dinner Steven and Ben had some fun with an app on Mike's phone. Basically he filmed them on his phone acting scared and then the app added in cars, and rocks falling on them. They loved seeing themselves getting smashed. Oh the simple joys of life. Here's a picture of my "scared" boys.

And on a random note...I now have 9 tutoring sessions. A couple more and I won't need to sub at all. Yippee! Although, I do have to say that I have been very lucky to get 1 sub day request a week since school started- the requested ones are so much better than the ones I just take off the sub line.

Updates

I'm 32 weeks and baby Lucy is putting my tummy through the ringer. I have been getting some pretty awful Braxton Hicks. I honestly don't remember them ever feeling this bad. Sometimes I feel like I need to sit down or I might just collapse. It's awful :( And if I don't have Braxton Hicks then Lucy is stretching and moving in the most uncomfortable manner OR she's hiccuping. I swear, this girl is already giving me grief.

Last week, Pattie and Leia came to visit. On Tuesday I picked her up from the friends' house she was staying at and then we went went to the Ward playgroup at the beach pool. It was enjoyable until we left & Steven had a 2 year old worth tantrum. Sometimes I think he forgets he's 4 years old.... The rest of the time Pattie & Leia were with us was spent hanging out at my house. Sadly Leia wasn't feeling good and was giving Pattie lots of grief and terrorizing my house. Pattie ended up leaving us Wednesday night so she could stay with her mom who would be lots more help than I could be with my own 2 crazy boys to wrangle.

Steven caught Leia's cold but for once it didn't keep him up coughing all night. It was miraculous! I think it's because we now have our own breathing machine so I was able to give him the treatments from the beginning. This was the easiest time we've had with my sick Steven in a long time. Unfortunately though, I caught it too and it wasn't the easiest for me. It knocked me down pretty good & made a subbing job I did Friday terrible- especially because I had 2 out of control 2nd graders that about drove me to my death bed. Now poor Benny is sick but hopefully he has an easy of time with it as Steven did.

And at the end of this long, boring, no fun pictures to show for post, I would like to document my desire to stop giving in to my pregnancy hormones and instead to react more calmly to my naughty boys. I really need to stop yelling so much at my troublesome boys. Wish me luck with this!

28 Weeks

This isn't this best picture but here's my baby bump at 28 weeks. I was complaining to a friend that I was feeling fat and she replied that it's only fair that I feel fat at some point in my life. That of course made me giggle & then realize how right she was. I am very lucky that pregnancy is the only time that I am ever really "fat." Very lucky considering my constant sugar diet. Pregnancy only heightens my need for sugar. Right now I'm craving a banana split, Crispy M&M's, & Runts. Interesting combination right!?

I'm scared to say this because anytime I would say it to someone, the next moment I would be suffering from a migraine again but here it goes, my head has been feeling MUCH better this week. Even so, my sweet hubby has scheduled a massage for my birthday and I can't wait! This will be my first ever official massage and since my lower back is still achy, I am super excited!

Also, the school year starts up officially this week and I am beginning the year tutoring 5 clients and I have 2 more that will start up at the end of this month. And so far, I have the sweetest, most well behaved clients. It's going to be a great year! All I need are 3 more clients and then I can stop subbing. Cross your fingers for me!

And here are the most adorable pictures of my littler superheroes. They have been driving me batty this week but it's moments like this that make it all worthwhile:

Pregnancy

My sister-in-law, Rebecca, at 38 weeks and me at 26 weeks. She looks great! Me...I'm almost her size and I am 12 weeks behind her. Lousy :(

This pregnancy in general has been lousy. Yes, I only threw up once which was a pro but the nausea has yet to leave me alone for good. And now I've been getting migraines- spots, light sensitivity, sickness, intense pain- the whole shebang! These are something that I usually get a handful of times in a whole year. I've already had a handful of them within the last few weeks. And when I'm not getting migraines, I'm getting run of the mill head aches. The Dr. believes all this head pain is originating from my poor achy back and that a massage would do the trick. If only I had the fundage for frequent massages!

Anyways, this has been a tough pregnancy and maybe that's the price of having a girl. It will be worth it to have my little princess but I will be super happy when the day that I get her is here and I am done with this pregnancy. Super happy! And until then I will try to be a good mommy to my boys and I will try to be a good tutor and I will just try to be more positive!

And hopefully by the time it's my little girl's birthday, I will have a name figured out too so please no more asking. I just don't feel completely sold with any name at this point but don't worry, she will have a name and it will be a cute one :)

And a couple pictures of my cute boys at Grandma & Grandpa Brady's house...

My Baby Girl

Yesterday at 19 weeks along, I had my second ultrasound. This time I brought along a whole crew: Tyler, my mom, Steven and Ben. This doctor's office is SO much more child friendly than my last one and the boys had no problem waiting because they were able to watch "Up" and play with Mr. Potato Heads. When we went back to our room, Steven was disappointed that he couldn't stand by me and he remained focused on that throughout. Ben had his Grams and Daddy so he was pretty content to just sit with them. He really had no clue what was going on.

When it came time for the gender reveal I could hardly believe it when they told me I was having a girl! I was so sure I was in for my third boy that I even asked, "Are you sure!?" (while crying). She replied that of course you won't know for sure until it comes out but there certainly was nothing between my little one's legs. So I don't have a 100% guarantee but I have more of a guarantee than I have ever had before.

This will be the first grand daughter on Tyler's side- she'll have 4 boy cousins and her 2 brothers to  contend with. Poor thing will be outnumbered but I am sure she will be spoiled enough to make up for it. It is taking every ounce of my self control not to go out there and buy every cute girl item I have been dying to buy for years but I have remained strong. We'll see how I do throughout the course of this pregnancy and when she makes her presence.

Right now I am content to dream big about how I'll decorate her room and think about names, Lucy or Abigail. And I love being able to remind my boys constantly that they are going to have a little sister. Steven claims that he's happy it's a girl, although he is sad he won't be able to name it Jayden or Jacob Two Two. Really, I think we're all excited for this sweet new baby and all the fun that will come with her!

Happenings

Ben is such a messy, little boy.  I swear this kid is always covered in something and if for some reason he isn't a mess, then he is creating a mess somewhere. The picture above doesn't show it too well but his face was covered with black patches and sticky, white goo.

Ben has been a really happy boy lately, if only I could fix his bad eating habits. I tried this week to give him fruit in the guise of a smoothie, to slip some ham and pineapple in his pizza pocket, and give him muffins with carrots inside. I was unsuccessful, he was on to each attempt...Except for the muffins! I did get him to eat one carrot muffin which he had greeted with, "Birthday!" He thought it was a cupcake. Whatever works!

Above is the result of a random "spooning" incident. Steven was drumming some pots with a spoon and then decided to whack my Kindle. It now doesn't show any of the top words which is very depressing. Especially since I was in the middle of reading an excellent book on it, "The Forgotten Gardens." Thankfully I can still read the book on my computer....

Some funny things Steven said this week (that maybe alleviated some of my anger at him for breaking my Kindle?) I told him he was going to Bryson's house Friday and he asked what Bryson's mommy's name was. I said, "Aunt Tara." He said, "No! Ants bite mommy!" Oh homophone humor.

Second funny, Steven came home from cleaning the offices at the end of a chick flick I was watching. Of course the characters were smooching and I said, "Ewww! They're kissing!" Steven added, "On the lips!" Then he paused for a moment and added, "I wanna do that!" My, my is my child already fresh.

Here's a lovely picture of Steven hiding behind my bum as I show off my barely visible baby bump. I was feeling large but this picture makes me feel better. I'm really surprised I'm not larger due to all my cravings, Cherry Cream Slush at Sonic, Cheesecake from the Cheesecake Factory, mozzarella sticks... all matters of unhealthiness! The queasiness is still present, I'm still always tired and my patience is very limited but with every passing week I get more and more excited to have this baby! Only 27 weeks to go ;)

12 Weeks Down

Somehow I missed writing about Baby Hatch #3's ultrasound that I had it last week. Maybe it was because I was going to scan in the picture but our scanner is not working. Lame- I know- but the picture is not the best baby photograph anyways.

Anywho, the ultrasound was way fun and reassuring. My little baby was jumping around in there like a little jumping bean- I'm pretty sure it's a boy. Baby's heartbeat was normal and baby was measuring well.

My due date is is now set for October 26th and Steven can't wait to tell anyone he comes in contact with that his mommy has a baby in her tummy. From RS presidency members, preschool teachers to random people in the park. I'm so glad he's SO excited about it! I'm also glad that he enjoys staring at my bloated nighttime tummy and asking if my popped out belly button is the baby. Thanks to that bloating I'm already wearing the stretchy pants which I actually happen to love- so comfortable!

The sickness of pregnancy remains in force. My sickness is like a roller coaster- sometimes I feel absolutely fine and other times I feel so darn queasy. Food helps sometimes and sometimes the idea of food makes me feel worse. And I always seem to feel tired. I love when I don't sub and I can lie down with Steven in the afternoon and take a nap too. The one positive thing to this first trimester is that my crazy heartburn only lasted the first couple weeks and hasn't returned since. Yippee! And since I am now 12 weeks along, hopefully those queasy feelings will end soon...

A New Shirt

Can you read my new shirt?
(Shiver me timbers! I'm going to be a big brother!)

I have been delaying posting this because I know I have more than family that reads this and I did have some complications with my last pregnancy but I stink at keeping secrets PLUS this is my "journal" and I shouldn't keep secrets from my journal right!? But please friends, I am not ready for a Facebook sort of spread so no sharing would be appreciated.

ANYWAYS, I am 9 weeks along and sometimes I think I must be insane. I was SO set against having another one anytime soon, I was much thinking I would have sort of a "second" family in a couple years due to finances and the overall craziness of the 2 I already have. But geeze, when Heavenly Father wants you to have another one, he doesn't let your own fears stand in the way very long and I know for a surety that I am doing what I am supposed to and I know it will be ok.

And now for the baby stories that I have desperately wanted to share.

#1: The Test: The first test I took showed a very faint line in the plus sign so Tyler was not convinced, I was though. It wasn't until I bought a digital one that said "pregnant" that he would finally get excited. This was the earliest I had ever found out though, I was only like 3 weeks along.

#2: Breaking the news to my family: I had Ben wear the above shirt to family dinner. I thought that would he a fun way to let them know but apparently my family doesn't read shirts for understanding. My dad, read it aloud and then moved on- no comprehension at all! After a full hour and no congratulations, my brother Mike finally read it- saw the Capt. Ben part and went "Wait a minute...!" They weren't as thrilled as I had hoped-- my mom saw more kids to watch & my dad worries about our finances but I'm happy, so there ;)

#3: Oops I did it again!: So we weren't going to tell his family until about now BUT just like with Ben, I was blatantly asked by someone in his family if I was pregnant (Thanks a lot Steven for telling Keshia "Mommy's going to have a baby at Halloween/Christmas") And because I stink at hiding things I turned bright red and the truth was out (again-just like last time- you'd think I'd have learned how to keep a secret by now...).

#4: Steven: Steven is pretty excited about me having a baby. Originally he was convinced it was a girl. When he heard me talking to my brother and expressing excitement that they were having a boy he shouted. "No mommy, you're having a girl!" But now he's convinced it is a boy. He has also decided that it will be called Jayden. That's my fault, though. We are all set on girl's names but if it's a boy we've got no idea. I have been throwing boy names out there and this was one that Steven just can't let go of. Too bad, I have decided against it. But regardless of name or gender, Steven can't wait to have it sit by him in the van so he can touch it's head "and then he'll be happy." My goofy boy.

This Friday I finally get to go visit my new doctor (which was tricky to get into, I got quite the interview before they set up an appointment) and I am super excited to hopefully hear that heartbeat. I am also super excited to finally be at an OBGYN close to home, that isn't supposed to have long wait time and that is positive about me having a VBAC. And despite the nausea and tiredness and my new found lack of patience, life is good :)
